Initially scheduled to appear in duo with pianist and FCA co-founder Jean-Baptiste Doulcet\, Belle’s invitation expanded into a solo concerto appearance with orchestra – a rare opportunity within one of Europe’s most high-profile festival programmes. \nThis invitation marks the first time an FCA laureate performs a solo concerto within the official orchestral series of La Folle Journée de Nantes. It reflects both the high artistic standards of FCA participants and the academy’s commitment to fostering meaningful international collaborations across cultural and generational lines. \nThe concert explores Chinese musical heritage and features two emblematic works:\n– Xian Xinghai: The Yellow River Concerto – performed by pianist Sophia Liu– Zhanhao Gang / Chen Gang: Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto – performed by Belle Ting \nBelle Ting is known for her deep musical sensitivity\, stylistic versatility\, and a refined soloist presence that has led to engagements with ensembles such as the Cleveland Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan.
